“When I saw the horrific marching, walking, the violence, I just couldn’t think about taking my time over trying to write about this because I knew that something almost tectonic was happening. Just for two days I was at home and trying to adjust to the fact that the world was changing around me, but then I just lost my peace of mind after that and had to write.”
